Hoff Parquet was honoured to be selected for a prestigious high-end residential project in London. Our task was to supply and install premium quality American Black Walnut Chevron Parquet Flooring, a choice that added a luxurious and sophisticated touch to the residence. This project required meticulous attention to detail and adherence to the highest standards, ensuring a flawless and seamless finish.

Preparation and Installation Process:

1. Subfloor Inspection and Preparation:

   1. We began by thoroughly inspecting the subfloor to ensure it was in optimal condition.

   2. The subfloor was then screeded with a self-levelling compound to create a perfectly smooth and even surface.

2. Primer and Damp-Proof Membrane:

   1. A high-quality primer was applied to the screeded subfloor.

   2. This was followed by the application of a damp-proof membrane to protect the flooring from any moisture-related issues.

3. Door and Frame Adjustments:

   1. To ensure a perfect fit, doors were carefully trimmed, and door frames were undercut. This allowed the chevron parquet to be seamlessly slid underneath, contributing to the overall polished appearance.

4. Flooring Installation:

   1. The chevron parquet flooring was installed using the glue-down method. This technique provides strong adhesion and stability, especially important for areas with underfloor heating.

   2. Each piece of the parquet was meticulously positioned to create the distinctive chevron pattern, showcasing the natural beauty and grain of the American Black Walnut.

5. Finishing Touches:

   1. Once the flooring was installed, skirting boards were fitted and painted to match the overall design.
