How Thermally Modified Wood Flooring is made?

The chamber is sealed, and heat is gradually applied, typically reaching temperatures between 180°C (356°F) and 230°C (446°F). The exact temperature and duration of the heating process may vary depending on the desired outcome and the manufacturer's specifications.

  4. Thermal Modification: As the temperature rises within the chamber, several chemical changes occur within the wood. The heat causes the hemicellulose—a component responsible for the wood's susceptibility to moisture—to break down.
