At Hoff Parquet, we recently supplied and installed our rustic grade European oak engineered wood flooring in a loft-style apartment in London. The project involved preparing the subfloor with self-leveling compound and a damp-proof membrane before fitting random-width oak planks using the glue-down method with Stauf flexible adhesives. To enhance the space’s character, one wall was also clad with the same oak planks, creating a warm and cohesive look. The result is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern style, tailored to the client’s vision.

Preparation Process: Before installing the flooring, we meticulously prepared the subfloor. This involved applying a self-leveling compound to ensure a smooth and even base, followed by a damp-proof membrane (DPM) to protect the new flooring from moisture.
Installation: The beautiful oak engineered planks were fitted using the glue-down method with Stauf flexible wood flooring adhesives, ensuring durability and a secure bond for years to come. Our engineered planks, known for their stability, perfectly suited the loft’s aesthetic, with the rustic grade oak showcasing rich grain patterns, knots, and natural imperfections that highlight the wood's organic charm.
