Project Overview

​For this high-end residential project in Birmingham’s prestigious Gentlemen’s Lane, Hoff Parquet was entrusted with supplying and installing engineered oak Chevron Pattern Wood Flooring – “Wool Heaven.”

From the very beginning, our team worked closely with the client, architect, and interior designer to ensure the flooring would perfectly complement the property’s refined interiors. After ordering samples directly from our website, the client was able to review several options, each showcasing different sizes, grades, and finishes.

Our experts provided detailed advice on:

• Chevron sizes and specifications to achieve the right proportions in each room.

• Finishes ranging from natural oils to lacquered options, ensuring durability without compromising the elegant aesthetic.

After careful consultation, the final decision was made to proceed with “Wool Heaven” in Premium Grade – chosen for its clean surface, absence of knots, and almost uniform tone, creating a sleek and timeless foundation for the home.

The choice was formally approved by the interior designer and architect, who both valued the flooring’s ability to deliver consistency, elegance, and longevity across all living spaces.

Subfloor Preparation

A flawless finish always begins with the right preparation. We ensured the subfloor was solid and perfectly level, using birch waterproofed plywood sheets – widely regarded as the most stable material available.

Installation Process

Our skilled team carried out a glue-down installation of the chevron flooring throughout the living room, dining room, kitchen, and bedrooms. Attention to detail was essential, particularly in challenging areas such as doorways and kitchen units:

• Door frames and trims were carefully adjusted to match the height of the chevron parquet flooring.

• The kitchen had already been fitted, so we meticulously undercut the faceboards, allowing the flooring to extend neatly beneath the units for a seamless finish.

The Result

​The combination of light grey walls, crisp white skirting boards, and our "Wool Heaven" chevron flooring has created a truly stunning interior. The effect is bright, elegant, and timeless, with every detail executed to perfection.

Once installation was complete, we carefully cleaned the entire property and finished the flooring with Hoff Parquet’s specialist wood flooring cleaner – ensuring the client was left with an immaculate, ready-to-enjoy home.
