Choosing the Perfect Chevron Parquet

The client began by ordering a chevron parquet sample from our website. We sent a small-sized sample to showcase the colour and quality of our flooring. The next step was to select the thickness, width, and length of the chevron parquet. As the apartment is equipped with a wet underfloor heating system, we recommended our 16mm ply-based chevron flooring. This type of flooring is highly stable and ideal for projects with underfloor heating.

After careful consideration, the client decided on chevron parquet floors with the dimensions 16mm thick, 120mm wide, and 600mm long. They requested flooring with minimal knots and colour variations for a clean and uniform look. To meet their expectations, we suggested our premium-grade European oak—the cleanest and most uniform option available.

The colour and finish chosen was "Castle Brown," an eco-friendly, semi-matt hardwax oil that offers a durable and stunning finish.

Professional Installation

Our expert fitters began by preparing the subfloor with a high-quality primer to ensure a perfect base for the parquet. For the chevron parquet installation, we used Stauf parquet flooring adhesive, which is specifically designed for use with underfloor heating systems.

The chevron parquet was laid seamlessly in the hallway, dining/living room, and bedroom, covering a total area of 76 square metres. Our team carefully matched the height of the parquet to the adjoining tiles for a smooth and flawless transition.

To complete the project, we installed simple white MDF skirting boards around the edges and walls for a polished finish. After installation, the flooring was thoroughly cleaned using Hoff Parquet wood flooring cleaner.
